[9/25] New Undergraduate Program Approved!

Here is a note from Dean Kremens of the CCSU School of Technology, dated 9/25/06.

"It is with great pleasure to inform you that on Wednesday, September 20, 2006, the CT Board of Governors for Higher Education approved major modifications (including the name change) in the BS program in Technology and Engineering Education K-12, and granted us the DHE licensure and accreditation.

"This is an important milestone in the strategic vision for the new type of the technology teacher education. The program will benefit our prospective students; K-12 students in the State of Connecticut, and beyond. The program will be offered by the Department of Technology Education.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Jim DeLaura for his leadership, Dr. Mike Vincenti for his strong support, and the entire Technology Education department for their hard work and effort to make this possible. Also, my thanks to the many faculty members from other departments who assisted and supported this important program change.

"Again, my sincere thanks and congratulations to the Technology Education Department!"

-- Zdzislaw B. Kremens, Dean
