Requirements

Apply for student-teaching during the prior semester. If you plan to student-teach in the Spring, the deadline is September 15 of the prior year. The application deadline for Fall student-teaching is February 15.

Once you receive your placement information, you must visit both cooperating teachers before your placement is finalized.

Plan ahead...

Arrange your work and course schedules well in advance: you may NOT take other courses while you student-teach, and working during student-teaching is not recommended.

Before you student-teach...

Take the PRAXIS II (Technology) exam.

Update your electronic portfolio and résumé.
